In direct injection internal combustion engines, soot and oil sludge often accumulate in the intake duct and on the intake valves. Nowadays, it has become clear that the narrowing of the intake manifold and intake channel has become a common phenomenon in the new type of Turbo Diesel, as well as in the direct injection (GDi) gasoline-powered smooth or Turbo (TGDi) Gasoline engines, and these are the cause of the multitude of unidentifiable errors and anomalies during operation.
In the case of a diesel – diesel – CRDi engine, you experience one of the following symptoms:
- the ride is uneven, along with this the engine runs rough and shakes
- lack of regeneration, soot formation increases
- regeneration does not run through, thus the engine oil level increases and becomes diluted
- 1.5-2 liters more fuel consumption, but the performance decreases
- improper mixture formation, along with this, the formation of soot will be excessive
- particle filter soot content increase, combustion is not good
- Error code P0404 in the engine controller – EGR under or over-functioning, weaker than usual, grunting
- the engine does not accelerate evenly for any reason, sometimes it jerks
- pulls while driving at a constant speed
- it is more difficult to pick up the speed, the driving experience is reduced
- harder to start, both cold and hot
In the case of a petrol – Direct injection – GDi engine, you experience one of the following symptoms:
- engine does not accelerate unreasonably
- the gait is uneven
- the engine runs rough and shakes as well
- 1.5-3 liter extra fuel consumption
- it jerks while driving and produces a misfire at a steady speed
- it is more difficult to pick up the speed, the driving experience is reduced
- more difficult start-up, strong resonance at start-up
most importantly, why you need to clean the GDI and TGDI engine:
- oil consumption is experienced, burnout of the piston must be prevented
- It must be cleaned every 90,000-120,000 kilometers, regardless of the nature of use (also in case of regular highway use)
- gasoline injection high-pressure atomizers must be checked every 90,000-120,000 kilometers
- it runs more clumsily, shakes at low revs
- Due to carbonization of the atomizer, the beam pattern will be bad
- it produces an ignition error code in such a way that it indicates an ignition error again within a short time after repair
Any of the above can occur, but in general it can be said that several listed problems tend to occur at the same time. It can be said that every engine is different (e.g. depending on the year, due for service, use, etc.), in many cases the problem must be examined as a whole and the system must be disassembled professionally. On the basis of the condition revealed upon disassembly, the deposited soot must be removed, which we do with liquid tough cleaning and by sprinkling walnut shells on the metal parts.
For diesel, i.e. CRDI engines, the channels of the cylinder head valves, the intake line, the throttle body, the intercooler, the EGR valve and the EGR cooler are also cleaned as necessary. We can replace the swirl control flaps of the plastic intake manifold of the 1.6, 1.7 engines with parts made of quality and professional materials, and repair the existing intake manifold professionally and with a warranty.
In the case of gasoline, i.e. GDI, TGDI engines, intake valves, intake manifolds, piston crowns and injectors are cleaned and cleaned as necessary, after opening. Injectors are checked as necessary, based on the form, extent and condition of the deposit on the piston.
I carry out cleaning and the problems to be repaired, in a pre-arranged form. You will find Tisztítás’ general estimated price items on the website, without any hidden costs. Pictures and videos are taken of each cleaning, so you can see the results. This also gives you an advantage when selling, because you can prove that you are a careful owner of your car.
One thing is for sure, we received a lot of feedback that after the intervention, you can immediately feel that the performance changes for the better, the engine runs more refined and the fuel consumption normalizes. The regeneration program in the engine control electronics starts again automatically and runs endlessly, and the engine’s unidentifiable anomalies disappear.
The longer the cleaning takes and the engine operates with an inadequate mixture formation, the greater the probability that the wear of the DPF (diesel), OPF (petrol) soot trap placed in the exhaust, the overload of the injection system, and the wear of the engine will intensify.
